Two Things Challenge: Real / Fake
This week's Two Things Challenge was Real / Fake. To meet the challenge, I give you Daniel Chester French's real memorial to our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, and Hallmark's version of the same as a Christmas ornament. Personally, I prefer the real thing!

My cousin! Honest!!!
I like this statue very much, but have never seen a photo like yours and I love it!
Very good real/fake thing too!
I think I might can jump in on the challenge tonight . I will email you.
Your shot of Abe is just wonderful. I never get tired of seeing it and I want to see it on my wall!

Perfect! Well done! This has to be my favorite monument in D.C. I am short on time and recycled an old image with heavy photoshopping.
Abe: I'm always amazed at how much the two of you look alike!
JM: Thanks! I have to confess: I keep looking for similar photos on the backs of calendars, but so far, nada.
Virginia: Isn't it a great monument? The Lincoln Memorial is my favorite.
Rob: Thank you! (Between us, this is never-before-posted-but-taken-in-February photo. I've been short on time, too.)
Ooh, that is a good one!
Maya: Thanks!
I love how different this is from any other image I have seen of the same statue. Very Nice!
Just M: Thanks! I have yet to see a similar picture anywhere, too. Here are a few others of the same subject--some taken the same day and others taken over the last year.
