Today's entry is sort of a continuation on the previous day's monochromatic take on winter. It snowed here yesterday morning and afternoon, followed by sleet last night. For most of you, that's hardly news. Around here, it's all the news and then some. It doesn't take much--we only had four inches in the city--but snow cripples the D.C. area. Everything just sort of shuts down for a few days and gets kind of quiet. The snow and ice is a pain, but the quiet part is nice.
Here are just a couple of shots of the snow from the warmth of my house. If the roads aren't too bad later today, I'll try to get out to take some pictures of D.C.'s more iconic images in the snow. But don't hold your breath. My car needs new tires, so I may just be staying put!
