Solvent Reflection

The World Bank : Financing developing nations since 1945.

Just a tight snap I took of the World Bank the other day. Simply put, the World Bank is the bank for developing nations. This building at 1818 H Street NW is the bank's headquarters. This minimalist glass and steel structure captures reflection and light beautifully and is especially interesting in the spring, when the trees in the park across the street are blossoming.

Greg: Thank you! I'm trying to be better about making building shots interesting.

Sassy: Thanks!

Petrea: Thank you. I think in the spring it will be especially pretty.

This pic is very clever. If you look at reflection it actually looks like a bank, closed behind a metal gate.

You know those store fronts that drop down metal gates.

the colors in this one are so great. I love reflection building shots. I have already done our 4 "tall" ones so I' m out of luck now. I do have a church today however, just like you!

Andrea: I had made that connection before, but you're right! Thanks for that perspective.

VJ: I'm learning to like buildings that are reflective. Especially when the light is good!

Cleverly done title and reflection.

I like the reflection mixed with texture.

Babooshka: Thanks! It's probably one of the few solvent banks left in the world right now.

Maya: Thank you. I thought you might.
