SkyWatch Friday

Fall sky over the Potomac

These are shots of the fall skies in the metro D.C. area. The first was taken from West Potomac Park, looking from Washington, D.C., across the Potomac River into Virginia. The second was taken from the balcony of my siblings' apartment in Virginia yesterday evening. We had a lovely Thanksgiving sunset! (Click images to enlarge.)

Always lovely along the Potomac. Even when the cherry trees are bare.

Oooh, that first shot is wonderful. I love the filagree of branches against that amazing blue sky!
