Romania

The Embassy of Romania, 1607 23rd Street NW

This picture if for fellow photographer, Lara of Lara's Welt, who lives and teaches English in Romania. I was out yesterday morning to take a picture of Winston Churchill and Kahlil Gibran near the British Embassy, but since there is no parking on Embassy Row, I ended up down at Sheridan Circle instead. I caught a couple of pictures I'll be featuring later on D.C. Confidential, but today's picture is of the Embassy of Romania on Sheridan Circle across from the Turkish Ambassador's Residence and near Dumbarton Bridge.

Shout out to you, Lara!

Thank you!!! Beutiful building! I wish I could do the same, and send you the photo of the US Embassy in Bucharest, but I think they will not allow me - so strict that we even have to cross to the other sidewalk... But for sure I'll find something beutiful to send in return! Thank you again, I most appreciate it!

Lara: Not a problem. When I saw it near other stuff I was photographing, I had to take a picture. It's too bad you can't get close to the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest. We're so convinced anyone who loiters outside a U.S. government building is a terrorist, we make the whole experience so uninviting. Stupid, really. Anyway--glad you enjoyed this.
