Gratitude
On the grounds of the Museum of the American Red Cross is this statue of a woman and child. Statues of women are a rare sight in Washington, so this one really stood out a few weeks ago when I was taking pictures of the aforementioned museum. This statue is a gift from the citizens of Armenia to the citizens of America in gratitude for our assistance following a devastating earthquake in December 1988.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends and fellow photobloggers!
