The idea of a central repository of all your books has always boggled my mind. I didn't realize that it was this gorgeous too!

The Exit Lady is my fav. Reckon she knows she's exposing herself?

Hilda: The pictures don't do it justice. This is something you really do have to see in person to fully appreciate. It's amazing!

VJ: A lot of them are exposing themselves. That's part of what I love about the art in this library. It's unlike so much of what we see in America, which is so friggin' puritanical at times I could scream. I love the beauty in the art in this building. It's amazing!

Nessabates: Tomorrow will feature Lincoln, because it's his 200th birthday, but come back on Friday and I'll have a few more pictures from the LOC.

Lori: Thanks!

The detail is amazing. The painting of these must have been painstaking.

Wow, gorgeous ceilings.MWe're going through our stuff from the basement,(I have lots of time, now...and the honeydo list grows) ;) We found some old brochures "Official Guide to the Smithsonian" copyrighted 1976. kind of fun to see, but am sure is outdated. So, out it goes.
