His Name is Earl
This little guy was out for a walk with his human the other day. I grew up with dachshunds, so anytime I see one, I melt into a puddle of sentimental goo. Earl is this doxie's name and he was rescued by his human from a puppy mill in West Virginia that made national headlines last year. He's a cute thing, but very shy. This was about as close as I was able to get to him; he stuck very close to his human. Sweet little fella', though.
In case you missed it last year, here are a few stories about Earl and his brothers and sisters. It's so nice to see one of these dogs, as I'm sure have many others, go to good, loving homes.
