Cascades Confidential
The last leg of our trip required driving through the Cascades. I've driven over the Continental Divide more times than I can count and through the Rockies a few times. I even grew up around some pretty impressive mountains in Utah, but aside from the Alps in Europe, nothing has been as awe inspiring in the genre of mountains as the Cascades. They were breathtaking!
Thanks for following my road trip across the northern United States! I've enjoyed photographing America and sharing this part of the U.S. of A. with everyone. And now, I'm going to take a few days off...

what a beautiful view!
*gasp*....you went through Moses Lake and didn't take a picture?? I can't imagine. :) I too have been on that road through those states so many times I lost count. The pictures took me back many years.
Flying will get you there quicker, but you miss the views along the way. What a great roadtrip!
Nessa: It was pretty stunning!
Lucy: Moses Lake was beautiful, but we didn't stop unfortunately. We were on a mission. End of the road trip and all. You know how that goes, right?
Rob: So true, but as you say, the views aren't as good from 30,000 feet. It was a great road trip!
I've enjoyed the road trip. Your photos have been outstanding. I see you're still driving and shooting. Good grief!!! Have a safe trip home.

VJ: Yep, still driving and shooting. And living to tell the tale. I probably shouldn't push my luck though, eh? Glad you've enjoyed this and been along for the ride!
I'm glad you were able to get through the pass with all the snow we've been having! It looks like it was a beautiful drive.
Maya: I think choosing to stay in South Dakota was a good idea and resulted in a beautiful drive through the Cascades. I'd like to go up there again one day and explore the area.
Ahh, our beautiful Cascades. Well welcome home, cuddle up, and we will await your next words and pix with baited breath. And yes, I have been to Pike Street Market.
Cele: The Cascades were stunning! I'm back in D.C. for a couple of weeks, but will hit the road again and will bring you pictures from the southern portion of the U.S.
I hope you had fun. Road trips are always fun. But have to say if you took I70 through Ohio you were 2 miles from my house. You should have stopped by :( But if you took I80 you are forgiven.
Glorious trip! Thanks much for sharing - you deserve a good rest.
I liked seeing the sights & meeting your friends or cats along the way. I don't envy you driving in those road conditions (So Cal driver myself) but it makes for wonderful scenery. One year, we went to Zion & Bryce for the Christmas break and were rewarded with amazing sights.
Care: It was a blast! I got to pick some things to see and the friend I was traveling with picked others. As a result, our stops were determined by each others' pickings. Next road trip I make that goes across I-70, I'm definitely stopping at your place!
Tash:Ironically, I grew up in Utah and never saw Zions or Bryce. Must remedy that. Perhaps on another road trip!
