Two Things Challenge: Shiny / Dull

This week's Two Things Challenge was Shiny / Dull. I've chosen a couple of pictures I recently took at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria. This is Alexandria's industrial art space where you can not only see the work of various artists, sculptors, photographers, and jewelers, but you can also see them at work. I think the two pieces I've chosen are a good mix of shiny and dull.

What do you think? Want to see how others interpreted this challenge or would you like to join in? Visit 2 Things Challenge and be a part of the fun!

THese are great DC. I am so strapped for photos I can hardly get a post up much less with a "theme"! I hope to pull out of it soon. This place you photographed looks amazing. Love the "marchin boobs".

Nice shots! Both show a contrast of shiny/dull.

VJ: Thank you! Yeah, I'm pulling from the archives these days, too! In fact, aside from my impromptu trip to Williamsburg last week, I can't think of the last time I picked up my camera. Oy. That's bad...

Afyonkarahisar: Welcome! Thank you for your compliments.

Nessa: The Torpedo Factory is kind of cool. You could spend a couple of hours in here.

Maya: Thanks! That's what I liked about these two shots, too! Something of both in them.

They're both good, but I especially like the first for the shapes and the contrast between the big object in the foreground and the rest in the background.

Cool art museum with much to see. I often wondered what shops do with their "outdated" manikins-er-womankins.
