The Slower I Go, the Behinder I Get

Yes, I've fallen behind on this blog. Nothing too serious, just not enough hours in the day right now. Here are posts for Tuesday, Wednesday, and today. Enjoy!

I understand. It's hard to keep up a daily blog. That's the first thing I want to say. The second thing I want to say is your posts are so intricate, so complete--do you know these three posts have enough in them to be several days' worth of posts on most blogs? You're working too hard! You could stretch this out a bit!

Wonderful, beautiful stuff. Really great shots. They'd be just as good if you posted one shot per day. (If I used smiley faces, I'd put one here.)

Life happens. sometimes it is difficult to keep up with lack of time. Other times there is too much time. but it all works out in the end.

Petrea: Keeping up daily is a challenge, you're right about that! And then, when you go somewhere new and out of your normal territory, it's hard to know which pictures to choose and feature. I try to keep it to one or two pictures a day, but when I travel, it's a little harder. Such a conundrum.

Thank you for your kind words about my content, too. My goal with this blog was to show people Washington, D.C.--the place where many of us work and live and where so many others come to be inspired. I hope I've achieved that.

Rob: No truer words were spoken or written: Life Happens. And you're right about time--we either have too much, which we squander, or not enough, which we stress about. I'm shooting for a happy medium. If I find it, I'll tell you my secrets.

I'm so lazy. The Altadenahiker took me on a tour of Altadena and I made it into a week's worth of posts!

Petrea: Oh, I've done that before. In fact, I'm still using pictures I took on a walk weeks ago. And Churches of 16th Street Series were all taken a year ago. I'm not sure it's laziness as much as it's resourcefulness.

Hey, I have a photo request from Pasadena: Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. Have you ever eaten there? Heaven! Oh yum.

Sure! I'll get you a pic and notify you when I post it. You give me an excuse to go fatten up.

Petrea: Bless you! I shall live vicariously through you. I love Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. After Ti Couz in San Francisco, it's probably my second favorite restaurant in California. Fine food, that chicken and waffles. Fine, fine food.

Ha! You're a girl after my own heartburn.

Ah, heartburn. For some things, it's worth the sacrifice. Roscoe's is one of those some things.
