Silver
Some more shots from downtown Silver Spring. This time, the AFI Silver Theater and Cultural Center. If you want to see independent, foreign, or art house cinema, this is the theater for it. The added advantage? No crowds of unruly teenagers and, for those who like a drink with their movie, you can get beer on tap.

What a cool looking movie theatre. I like the fact you don't have to plow through throngs of kids to see a flick.
Fantastic! no kids, refreshments, and a movie. Superb night shot!
This looks and sounds like a cool place (especially with the beer!) Did you get down on the ground for the second shot? Its a great angle.
OH, that definitely sounds like my kind of place!
Virginia: It's a pretty cool theater, particularly in terms of its mission and the films you can see here.
Rob: Exactly!
Marley: For the second shot, I knelt down to get it. I purposely waited for the couple in the foreground to walk through so I could capture someone walking toward the theater.
Maya: The AFI Silver and E Street Cinema in downtown D.C. are about the only two theaters I go to with any regularity anymore. The multi-plexes are just too noisy and overrun with teens. You'd like this theater.
nice post, I love the AFI
Lori: Thanks! AFI is a gem, isn't it?
