Christmas Sky

Christmas Cottonballs : From I-66 : Arlington County, Virginia

Christmas Day had its share of fun, with a tiny bit of drama mixed in. Driving out to my siblings this morning, the sky was full of clouds that looked like cotton balls. I stuck my camera out the window and snapped this photo.

Christmas Sunset : From the balcony : Fairfax, Virginia

Later that evening, as we were sitting around the table playing Zug-um-Zug (in English: Ticket to Ride), I looked out the dining room window and saw a beautiful sunset. I jumped up and took this picture. My only regret today? This morning's sunrise was gorgeous and I should have gone out and photographed it, but I didn't.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Beautiful shots. I don't blame you for not getting up to shot the sunrise, it comes too early for me.

The first photo reminds me of ocean waves. And that is a glorious sunset to end Christmas day with!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful, joyous Christmas!

VJ: I had a lovely day with family and friends! Hope you did, too!

CIB: The thing is, I was up at sunrise. I just was too lazy to put on some clothes, bundle up, and head out to take any pictures. Otherwise, yeah, sunrise is too early!

Hilda: Thanks! I hope yours had a lovely, peace-filled Christmas, too.

Both those skies are beautiful! It sure pays to look up every now and then...

Maya: Seriously, right? I was so engrossed in the game we were playing, I almost missed it. Good thing I was facing the window when I did finally look up!
