100 Strangers: DJ & Deep

D.J. and Deep and their sons out for an evening in Silver Spring

Continuing my 100 Strangers series, tonight I was out in downtown Silver Spring and I was setting up to take a shot of the Discovery Channel building and Cakelove, when this group of gentlemen stepped into the picture. I ended up chatting with them briefly, then taking their picture. D.J., the gentlemen on the left, and his son are visiting from Augusta, Georgia. The gentleman on the right, Deep, is his brother. Deep works for the Smithsonian Institution. They were very friendly guys and it was fun taking their picture!

You go girl and get those strangers.. I have a boatload that I took in Paris. I hope that "merci beaucoup!" will suffice for conversation!

I think it's generous of strangers to allow a photo. It's a friendly gesture on their part and on yours, an exchange of kindness going on. I can't quite find the words for it but it warms my heart.

VJ: I'm starting to be a little bolder, I think. These guys were such a hoot, though. They stepped into the picture in such a natural way, I had to snap them. They were really sweet.

Petrea: I agree. It's just one more opportunity to connect, I suppose!

Marley: Thanks! These guys were great and I love having them as a part of this series. I'm really enjoying this challenge.

Tash: They were a very happy bunch, which was a lot of fun. The happiness just emanated from them. I think an hour of talking with them would have resulted in some great insights and a lot of laughter!

Maya: Thank you! I'm trying!

What a great photo! They've all got such lovely smiles ('cept the little boy, who looks like he's interested in something else going on to the side). Can't wait to see your 2 Things involving the Immaculate Conception. Hope you get it in time. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Serena: Thank you! It was a lot of fun to take. And thanks for the nudge on the 2 Things Challenge this weekend. I'm always ranting about the commercialization of Christmas and your post reminded me of that!
