Lines

Lines horizontal. Lines perpendicular. Lines diagonal.
But what are all these lines?!

Today is Theme Day for City Daily Photo bloggers! This month's theme is Lines. Can you guess what this is? Come back tomorrow and all will be revealed!

To see the results of this theme on other city blogs, click here to view thumbnails for all participants.

Happy Theme Day, fellow CDP'ers!

I feel I should recognize this, having lived in DC all my life until last year. Hmm. Dulles? Regardless, great Lines shot!

I knew you would have an interesting
image for this theme. It's a bounty of lines, the obvious and the ones you have to think about to see.ore than one viewing to appreciate it. Excellent.

Great color this one. I like the lines too. ARGGHH, have no clue where it is. I'm going to make a wild guess. Space and Air Museum (not sure what it's called)??

PS I am feeling calmer this am. Perhaps the toaster wires I hooked up to my head had the desired effect. Now I cannot even remember who is running as John McCain's VP. AHHHHHHHHAAAAA

It looks like supports for a bridge but not with the glass. I'm confused! Nice photo though :)

Very cool! It looks like the structure of some building.

This is going to annoy me till tomorrow. Great image and a good choice for the theme day.

I like the pic. I managed to figure out it's tipped on it's side but I haven't a clue which building it might be.

I'll be back tomorrow.

FLDP: Nope, not Dulles. It's a new building that opened earlier this year.

Babooshka: Wait until you see what it is!

VJ: Thanks! And no, it's not the Air & Space. It is a museum, though.

Hyde DP: Thank you!

Biting Midge: Thanks.

Marley: No, not a bridge. Check back tomorrow.

Maya: Structural is right. Stay tuned...

John: Sorry to annoy! But I think you'll enjoy the result tomorrow.

Wayne: Right you are! I did tip it.

Well that's not fair. Wayne is some kind of engineer and should have been disqualified. I am complaining to the Florida Election Screw Up Commission!

The muted rainbow of colors is fascinating. ICBM launching silo?

Y oh Y is this so nice.
Maybe the repetative geometric Y's, maybe the intricate play of multi-color lights. Just lovely & I'm just going to wait to see what/where it is.

Virginia is getting even with me for the wisecrack I made on Laurie's site yesterday.

And who could blame her? I should probably take it back. Nah.

I'm no closer to knowing what building this is. But, since the designers apparently intended to convey a sense of transparency and openness is it fair to day it is not the FBI Building?

A bus station, or a train station, or a convention center??? Clearly I have no clue!

Yes, a glass walled stairwell! I posted one before the lines theme. I too thought of turning it, but the colors of the stair stringer dictated otherwise. But I digress, this is a superb image.

Hmmm, since I saw today's post I am not guessing...but this is great imagery with all those intersecting lines!
