Fall

A cornucopia of colors and a squirrel. Can you find him?

We're a couple of weeks into fall now in the northern hemisphere and the colors are starting to change. I went out for a walk this morning in my neighborhood and these are just a couple of the trees and changing colors I photographed. Now I have to find a weekend where I can make the two hour trip out to the Blue Ridge Mountains to see the colors on Skyline Drive...

Early morning sunshine lights up the foliage on a maple tree

So much beauty, so little time.

Yes, I'm waiting for some dry weather to get out for some autumn photos before its all over. I love the light and colours in these two.

Oh your Fall is so lovely! You have all the reds and fire oranges!!! Love it!

VJ: Did you have a dry summer (low rainfall?) I hope you end up with some glorious fall colors!

Marley: Isn't rain just incredibly inconvenient for photographing this kind of thing? I'm hoping the weather holds until next weekend as I'm planning a trip to the Blue Ridge.

Prof: I promise, there will be more pictures like this in the weeks ahead, so come back for more!

Maya: Cute little guy, isn't he? (Or maybe it's a she. I have no way of knowing and they never stop to give me their names. Shame really, because I know we could be friends.)
