New Business
Today's entry isn't so much a photo as it is a screen shot and a plug for my new business venture.
As of today, Write Brain Publishing is open for business! My initial focus will be on resume writing and career continuity and transition documents. As I build my workload, I'll also take on manuscript editing (harking back to my first professional job), technical writing, and marketing communications/public relations writing.
If you know someone who needs a resume rebuilt or is starting from scratch, I can help! And for anyone who enlists my services between now and October 31, 2008, I'll give you a 10% discount. If you have a friend you pass my information along to, tell them to mention D.C. Confidential and I'll give them the same discount!

Good for you! It looks great. Mr. Lincoln gives it some presidential authority, like he endorses your new business venture. Best of luck on this new page in your life.
Nice plug! Good luck with your new venture :)
You go! Break a leg, as we say.
Good luck with your new venture! I like the design of your website — simple and elegant.
VJ: Yeah, I like my Mr. Lincoln. Thank you for your good wishes!
Marley: Thanks! I hope it goes well.
Petrea: Thank you! I hope to repeatedly break my leg with this venture.
Maya: Thanks! I appreciate your support.
Hilda: Thanks! Glad you like the site. My goal was simple and elegant!
Oh wow.I AM impressed. Truly. Well done you! I am really proud of you and I hope you do well. I too have been working on a business idea and extending my photography into what I hope will be sales (hence the new BB connection). Your website is fantastic, your opening write up gripping and your testimonials paying you a huge compliment. Did I mention how proud I am?? Honestly, I am all smiles herein my corner of NZ!! I wish you all the best! Lisa:)
Thanks, Lisa! I hope I do well. It would be great to have some overseas clients, too! Makes for more challenging and interesting work.
Speaking of selling photography, I'm also setting up to do the same. How are you going about it? I'm using ImageKind as my vendor.
I'm still investigating options atm. I have been signing up with stock libraries so if your into that you could try iStock, Bigstock or fotolia. It's more of a challenge than it first appears but very proffesional (and an interntional audience/market) they are after business images especially. Let me know how you go.
I'm also re-inventing the wheel a bit with my blogging (hence the challenge blog.)
Best of luck!
Lisa: I'd like to try my hand at stock photography, but I'm shooting all my stuff with an 8 megapixel camera. If/when I upgrade to a DSLR, I might give it a go. Let me know how it goes for you. I'm continually curious about who's doing stock photos and how it's working for them.
