Two Things Challenge: Alliteration

Crisp, crunchy cucumbers...

The first part of this week's Two Things Challenge was Alliteration. Here is my interpretation for that. Farm fresh fare from fields afar featured for a fee... at the Eastern Market on Capitol Hill.

Premature, pucker-puss peaches...

Perky, pedestrian peppers...

Sweet, succulent strawberries...

Asparagus awakens affection for... um... hollandaise!

Great photos these pictures of vegetables and fruit make en masse. Intense colours.

Very imaginative alliterations! You seem to be enjoying yourself here!

Love the shots of the peppers and the asparagus! Eastern Market is my Sunday morning routine every time I'm in DC - walk over and get a coffee/chai/something from Starbucks or Murky Coffe, and then commence wandering and shopping! Only three more weeks till I get back to visit!

Bev: Thanks! I love the colors of spring and summer produce. So bright and healthy.

Cowbark: Let me know when you're here and we'll meet for coffee. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Chicago; it's one of my favorite cities.

I love, love, love the Eastern Market and it's across the street from my sis on North Carolina S.E. and just walking distance from my favorite B&B Maison Orleans at 414th 5th St.

You outdid yourself with this cool, colorful, cornucopia! I love those tree images too.

Had an idea earlier in the week which I seemed to abandon.

Lucy: That's just shocking, given how close you are to California. Most of this produce in these pictures is grown in Maryland, Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia. I've yet to see D.C. produce.

Andrea: NO WAY! I know you've said your sister lives by the Eastern Market, but I didn't realize it was that close. Wow. Well, it's quite possible our paths have crossed, but we've never known it. The next time you're in town, we should definitely hook up. As for this week's challenge, give it a go anyway and let me know. I'll post the results.

Very nice!! Both the photos and the alliteration. I love alliteration and am sorry I couldn't get something together this week for it. :-(

B.C.: This was fun! I love summer for all the produce, but the hoards of people at the market who elbow you like its Soviet shopping is more than I can bear. Hence, I go very, very early!

Maya: There's still time to participate. We aren't rigid with the rules. If you still want to do this one, let me know and I'll post your results! This one was a ton of fun and I'd hate for anyone to miss the opportunity to join in!

Wonderful looking produce. I'm hingry now. I enjoy this alliteration, I think I will continue to use this theme. Those Perky Peppers look lonesome for some Italian salad dressing and o be place on the grate of the Webber grill. cool cucumbers too. Sliced with Roma tomatoes, wioth cubed mozzarella cheese, chopped basil, olive oil, and a splash of balsamic vinegarette. Is it lunch time yet?

Rob: Alliterations are my favorite form of writing. I once wrote an entire Christmas story in all alliteration! It was fabulous.

I've been enjoying many of the goodies from the market. In fact, this afternoon for lunch, I had strawberries and this evening for dinner, I had corn on the cob. The other night, I had tomatoes and cucumbers. I love summer produce!

Those asparagus (asparagi?) are splendid. What a fabulous shot, worthy of any national magazine I'm tellin' ya!

Debi: Wow. Thanks! I'm trying to thinking about composition and framing as I'm out and about photographing common sites and uncommon scenes.
