Bench

Bench and shadow, Annapolis

I took this picture in Annapolis, Maryland. I figured it would be a nice counterpoint to my rather dull weekly posting of embassies and consulates.

You have a good eye for the details in a picture. I love all of the curves and shadows in the photo, and the green color in the background. That's a cool shot!

Who woulda thunk it? A picture of bench shadows. Cool.

I love this! How is the green getting into the shadow? Wonderful!

Janet your postings are never dull, to the contrary, they are educational and well thought out.

I am diggin' this chair photo.

BTW-I had no idea I had snapped so many flagpoles.:) Maya got me thinking maybe it's not really a challenge if we use archived photos. If I can I'll post something fresh otherwise it's what 's available from my travels. Hope noone minds. Don't have much time otherwise.

Lori: Thanks! I loved the shadow this was casting and just had to snap it up, as it were!

Lucy: I know, right? :-)

Maya: Thanks, Maya. Actually, the building the bench was leaning against was green. I enhanced the green a little when I edited the photo. Perhaps I should post the original photo for comparison...

Andrea: Thank you! I like this photo, too. Maya provoked my thinking, too. When I was working downtown, I use to take and post a photo-a-day. Now that I'm working for myself from home, I don't get out as often. When I do go out, I take a bunch of pictures and cull from them. (Plus, traffic around here is a nightmare, what with people pouring into the city to work and the zillions of tourists we have all summer.) And, occasionally, I find a great picture--like this one--in my archives. There are no hard, fast rules for 2 Things and I love what everyone contributes, regardless of when or how it was shot or how it's made. That said, though, I think for July I'm going to try to do one photo a day and of something I shot that day, just to see if I can do it.

Ming: Thanks!
