Lovely photos of a clearly very lovely setting. I particularly like the stone bridge. Excellent.
This park is so great. I love the foot bridge and rock bridge. I cannot believe that with all the expansive land we have here in So. Cal we don't have very many of these beautiful parks. Too many golf courses utilizing the beautiful green environ. Aaargghhh.... I wish we had more parks to stroll.
Nic: Thanks! I like the stone bridge, too. It's sort of unique in the park.
Andrea: Despite all the craziness of this city, we do have a few gems. It's too bad San Diego doesn't have more green space. Golf courses eat up a lot of water and cater to the elite, which is unfortunate for the rest of us. That said, though, you have beaches. I'd trade Rock Creek Park and East Potomac Park for some rugged coastline any day!

artful and d.c.: What about Balboa park in San Diego? I thought it was pretty nice.
Rob: I'm behind, too! What cracks me up about this stone bridge is, I'm not 100% it's a true stone bridge as much as a bridge with a stone facade! But I could be wrong, you know.
Maya: Both of these parks are great for cycling. On the weekends, the Park Service closes off Beach Drive between Blagden Avenue and the Maryland State Line to cars. Pedestrians and cyclists LOVE it! East Potomac Park is great for cycling, too, because of its circuit that's low on traffic and all one way.
Maya x 2: I've never been to Balboa Park in S.D., but I would imagine it's quite lovely. Andrea, what say you?
